Just a reminder to everyone that our projects on the Great Fire of London are due in next week. We will presenting them throughout the week so check back for photos of the presentations.
As you can see from the photos, 2K have been role-playing Little Red Riding Hood this week. We are looking at traditional tales and have tried to write down some speech that the characters in Little Red Riding Hood might use. Some children have been so excited by our new topic that they have brought in some traditional tales of their own. We have had a great time reading some of them.

This afternoon we had Science where we did an investigation into what would make Mrs. Kendrick's washing dry the quickest. We decided to put our 3 wet paper towels on the radiator, on the table and outside. We had a look later to see which one had dried - only the one on the radiator had!! Mums and Dads - you need to put the washing on the radiator this winter, it's official!!!
We also had Maths this afternoon where we worked on Education City on the laptops. Most of us got 100% after working really hard. Well done 2K!!!

Today at school

Today our first lesson was Maths where the children were learning to subtract by jumping backwards on an empty number line. Everyone worked really hard and did very well.

This week we have been looking very closely at some poems. We have tried to write in the style of the poems we read - using the same number of lines, the same number of verses and putting the rhyming words in the same places. Everyone tried really hard but it can be really difficult to rhyme and make sense can't it?!!

This afternoon we went to the Library and chose our new books for the week. We read a story while everyone was quiet about some animals who didn't know what a Kangaroo was!

Before we went home we had assembly. Some children in our class helped me to act out the story I was reading with some teddies. Well done you 4! Absolute Stars!!!!
